The world-famous After Dark screen saver from Berkeley Systems. I was attracted to the Mac by it's beautiful graphics display and sharp color. More than any other non-graphics product, After Dark gave many a first look at the Mac's graphics and animation capabilities Screen savers were touted as a way to prevent images from being permanently engraved on your monitor. They are less useful nowadays - monitors no longer exhibit screen burn-in and most are Energy Star compliant.
